It's Easy!
When you open your heart and your home to foster to adopt one of our dogs, the dog will live with you in your home as if it was like one of your own dogs for 30 days.
After the 30 days, if everything is a perfect fit, you will have the option to adopt the dog.
If the dog has a lot of medical needs and is hospice, you may forever foster the dog.
The only difference is the dog will still be an Angels For Sara Sanctuary dog and we would cover all the medical needs that the dog may have.
We will always be in contact with you to make sure things are going good and if you need help taking them to the vets or groomers, one of our other volunteers can help with that.
When you sponsor a dog or dogs, the donations will go towards the much needed medical care, food, and training as well as some special treats along the way.
Our forever foster dogs stay with the Sanctuary in a foster home so we can continue caring for the medical needs of that dog. The monthly expense for these dogs add up,
When we have sponsors, the money that comes in for a particular dog GOES to the care of that dog.
We require all our dogs to have a fenced yard so they may play in a yard and explore.

When we receive your application we will go through it and notify you if we have any questions.
Your support and contributions will enable us to give the senior dogs the medical care they will need and provide them with a safe and loving environment until they find their perfect furever home.
When a new dog comes into the sanctuary we get all their blood work done; take x-rays if needed; dental which is almost always needed and get the medications started that they may need.
The sanctuary will almost always spend $1000.00 or more to get these seniors ready for their new homes.
This is why we ask for your support and donations.
We could not do this without your help!!
This is Max, he is an 18 pound Chicorgi (Chihuahua Corgi mix) and he is ridiculously adorable, cute and funny! He came to us from Multnomah Shelter after his dad passed away and the family could not care for him.
He is looking for a home where someone will play with him, toss the ball, take him for walks and he loves car rides, laying in your lap and being your best buddy!
Max likes being the center of attention but does get along with other dogs that are not aggressive, kitties he is okay, but would be best in a home without one. He loves just about every human he has come in contact with.
He is looking for his foster to adopt home.
Buckwheat is about 9 years old. He is a Chihuahua, and completely adorable. He weighs about 9 pounds,
He came to the sanctuary after been picked up as a stray in Seattle.
He is a little shy at first and submissive, but will warm up quickly. He does get nervous in new situations so we need someone who can go slow with him.
We are looking for a quiet home where not a lot is going on. He gets along with kitties and other dogs, but prefer maybe one other quiet dog.
He is a hospice dog, but we don’t know how long. He has a grade 6 heart
Murmur and because of that we were not able to give him a dental or have him neutered. He is on medications for his heart and therefore sometimes pees a lot, but will wear a wrap. He will also let you know when he needs to go outside.
He is incredibly loving and just wants to cuddle up close to you.
Being a forever foster home we will cover all the medical needs for him.
Wyatt is a 15 years old Pomeranian. He is about 7 pounds and he does have several medical needs going on. He will be a “hospice” dog, we don’t know how long he may have, but he deserves to have a loving home and caring
humans to love him in his short time.
He is a total little love bug and wants to be close by you. He will cuddle up next to you, lay by your side and follow you around. He loves going outside in a fenced yard with you and maybe help you with your gardening.
He gets along with other dogs and cats and likes following them around.
He is not fixed and his teeth are really bad, but because he has kidney issues, heart issues, Peri Rectal Mass and a few other issues, he would not be able to handle the surgery.
He is on some medication to keep him comfortable.
Being a forever foster home we will cover all the medical needs for him
This little sweety has the most precious face and is always ready to give you a big smile.
Peanut came to us from Clatsop County Shelter after her daddy could no longer care for her. She is about 10 years old. She does have some medical needs, but we are taking care of them before she goes to her forever home. She does have mammary gland tumors so those are being removed and she still needs to be spayed and a dental. But no matter what life throws at her she comes back as a champion! Always ready to give you some loving.
She does like to play with toys and loves her treats. She loves cuddling up next to you, going for short walks and car rides. She will never turn down a pupcup! She gets along with the other dogs and kitties are tolerable . She will do best in a quiet home with no children.
Keep an eye on our facebook page to see how she does with her surgeries and because these surgeries are costly, we are looking for donations to help cover the costs. If you are able to help out you may send a check to Angels For Sara Sanctuary, PO Box 746, Warrenton, OR 97146 or go to our website www.angelsforsarasanctuary.com and you will find a donate button here.
